Dubois County Sports (Updated Saturday)

Dubois County (NNDC):  Three of the four Dubois County Boys Basketball teams were in action on Friday night as the 2018-19 campaign is in the home stretch.   The Jasper Wildcats were at home to face the visiting Pike Central Chargers (3-17).   The Chargers entered the contest on a 4 game losing streak while Jasper was looking for their 3rd win in the last 4 games.   Jasper picked up the win over Pike Central 46-32 improving their record to 13-8.   The Wildcats will close out their regular season next Thursday night as they host North Daviess (16-6).

The Southridge Raiders are wrapping up one of their strongest regular seasons in several years as they travelled to South Spencer on Friday night.   The Rebels entered the night having lost 5 of their last 6 games and looking for win number 8 on the season, but Southridge had other plans as the Raiders pick up the win 41-30.   Southridge is now 16-5 and winners in 13 of their last 14 games, including 7 in a row.   The Raiders return to action on Saturday night as they host the Loogootee Lions.

Northeast Dubois was looking to get back on the winning track as they hosted Blue Chip conference foe Loogootee.   It was the Lions however who came out on top.   NOTE: THIS GAME WAS LIVE ON NNDC AND IS NOW ARCHIVES ON OUR WEB SITE UNDER THE ARCHIVE TAB. Loogootee picked up the 54-44 win over the Jeeps.   With the loss, Northeast Dubois is now 8-13 on the season.   The Jeeps will close out the regular season on Thursday night as they travel to Tecumseh.

The IHSAA Boys Basketball Sectional draw will take place this Sunday.   NNDC will update the brackets as they become available.
