Gary Lange, 56, Huntingburg

Gary Lange, 56, of Huntingburg, died Sunday, February 10, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper. He was born in Huntingburg June 13, 1962, to Arnold and Martha (Welp) Lange. He married Diane Durlauf July 14, 1990, at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Ferdinand.

Gary was a mathematics teacher at Southridge High School. He was a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Henry Church. He enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, landscaping, woodworking, collecting antiques, and Southridge sports. He coached girls and boys basketball.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Lange; one son, Evan Lange, Huntingburg; two daughters, Brooke and Kendyl Lange, both of Huntingburg; his mother, Martha Lange, Huntingburg; three brothers, Darryl Lange and wife Lora, Mariah Hill, and Jason Lange and wife Belinda and Alan Lange, all of Huntingburg; six sisters, Debbie Moore and husband Jim, Whitfield, Marcia Graves and husband Charlie, Bristow, Jean Rahman, Ferdinand, Carla Hoffman and husband Jerry, Portersville, and Elaine Main and husband Bernie and Annette Buse and husband Brad, all of Huntingburg.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Lange, one brother in infancy, Gary Allen Lange, and two brothers-in-law, Gary Rahman and Jim Durlauf.

An informal celebration of life will take place from 6-10 p.m. Friday at the Ferdinand Community Center. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Southwest Dubois County School Corporation in memory of Gary Lange. Online condolences can be shared at Funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Henry Church.
