Carla A. Pfau, 78, Jasper

Carla A. Pfau, 78, of Jasper, died Saturday, February 9, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Evansville January 4, 1941, to William and Caroline (Daeschle) Joyce. She married Ron E. Pfau November 16, 1961, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. He died February 14, 2011.

Carla retired from Jasper Engines and Transmissions after 27 years of service. She enjoyed volunteering at the Dubois County Museum. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, the Jasper Fire Department Auxiliary, the Dubois County Museum, Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and the Jasper German Club. She enjoyed camping, NASCAR racing, and watching Indiana University basketball.

She is survived by one daughter, Nicole Wagoner and husband Vaughn, Jasper; two sons, Kent Pfau and wife Beth, Jasper, and Ryan Pfau and wife Janell, Celestine; six grandchildren, Kraig, Breanne, and Gina Kiefer, and Dana, Madison, and Connor Pfau; three step grandchildren, Codi Everman and Keighan and Kerrigan Wagoner; one great-granddaughter, Evelyn Keifer; and three step great-grandchildren, C.J, Cort, and Clark Everman.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Caroline Joyce, and her husband of 49 years, Ron Pfau.

Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Church, the Dubois County Museum, or to a favorite charity.
