Marvin R. “Merf” Egloff, 68, Ferdinand

Marvin R. “Merf” Egloff, 68, of Ferdinand, died Sunday, February 3, at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper. He was born in Huntingburg February 10, 1950, to Clarence and Hilda (Senninger) Egloff. He married Charlene Singer September 21, 1968, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.

Merf was retired as owner of Egloff Trucking. He was a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Ferdinand Church and enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and playing cards and was an avid NASCAR fan.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charlene Egloff; one son, Jeff Egloff, Keizer Oregon; and two granddaughters, Erin Egloff, Eugene, Oregon, and Jenna Egloff, Wilsonville, Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Hilda Eglof.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 7-9:30 a.m. Saturday at Becher Funeral Home in Ferdinand. Online condolences can be shared at Funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ferdinand Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
