Frances M. Bauer, 76, Dubois

Frances M. Bauer, 76, of Dubois, died Thursday, January 10, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, February 1, 1942 to Alfred G. and Virginia M. (Boyer) Wagner.

Frances was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports, landscaping, and spending time with her cats.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Schnaus and husband Steve, Jasper; three sons, Greg Bauer and wife Jennifer, Ronald C. Bauer and wife Debbie, and Jon Bauer and wife Tiffany, all of Dubois; 11 grandchildren, Brittany Voelkel Haywood (who was raised by Frances), Stephanie Stemle, Codi Everman, Conor and Mariah Hart, and Kamille, Taylor, Kaitlyn, Griffen, Reece, and Jordan Bauer; nine great grandchildren; and one brother, Steve Wagner and wife Glenda, Jasper.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Bauer-Voelkel.

Friends may call from 1-6 p.m. Sunday the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and from 10-11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Church. Funeral Services  at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with burial following at a later date in the church cemetery.
