High Water Incident Leads to Help from the Dubois Fire Dept. (Updated)

Jasper (NNDC):

57 year old Scott Decorrevont, of Dubois was driving Co Rd 300 N East of Kellerville Rd when he entered some shallow flood water on the roadway.   Decorrevont met an Eastbound vehicle that splashed water up hindering his vision.   He then went slightly off the roadway and his vehicle stalled out.   The Dubois Fire Department responded and assisted in helping the driver to safety.

The water was from Patoka River flooding that had gotten onto the
roadway overnight.     There WERE signs marking the hazard.   The
flooding had yet to be reported to officials.

With the heavy rains of late, drivers are urged to use caution when going through flood prone areas.
