Theresa H. Stratman, 92, Huntingburg

Theresa H. Stratman, 92, of Huntingburg, died Saturday, December 8, at Meadow View Health and Rehabilitation Center in Salem. She was born in Huntingburg August 10, 1926, in Huntingburg, to George and Frances (Verkamp) Boeglin. He died in 1994.

Theresa worked as a retail sales clerk. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg and its ladies sodality. She enjoyed baking cookies to give to friends, camping, and outdoor activities. She was a former National Women’s Muzzle Loading Rifle Champion and National Tomahawk Throwing Champion.

She is survived by one son, William “Bill” Stratman and wife Nancy, Huntingburg; two daughters, Jane Perry, Huntingburg, and Ann Mouser and husband Max, Indianapolis; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. A parish rosary prayer vigil, led by Deacon Tom Holsworth, will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Online condolences can be shared at Funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Father Ryan Hilderbrand will be the celebrant.
