Laurabell S. Reller, 87, Huntingburg

Laurabell S. Reller, 87, of Huntingburg, died Saturday, December 1, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. She was born in Huntingburg January 23, 1931, to William J. and Erma K. (Miller) Kaetzel. She married Leo R. Reller September 29, 1956, in Huntingburg. He died December 6, 2017.

Laurabell worked as a bookkeeper for Dr. Williams, as a payroll clerk for Farbest Foods, as co-owner of Reller Jewelers in Huntingburg for 35 years, and as a jewelry sales associate at Carson’s. She was a member of the Huntingburg High School Class of 1950, St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Stendal, and a past president of the Huntingburg Business and Professional Women.

She is survived by one daughter, Glenda Nugent and husband James, Huntingburg; one son, Keith Reller and wife Cheryl, Prospect, Kentucky; brother-in-law Ralph William Katterhenry, Florissant, Missouri; six grandchildren, Justin Neal, Montgomery, Alabama, Cameron Harris, Jasper, Whitney Chamberlain and Luke Durcholz, both of Huntingburg, Tyler Reller, Oxford, Mississippi, and Braxton Reller, Prospect, Kentucky; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Louella Katterhenry and infant Dorothy Kaetzel.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg and from 9-10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter’s Church. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran.  Online condolences can be shared Funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church with burial following in Fairmount Cemetery. Pastor Ed Wicks will officiate.
