Just in time for Thanksgiving the CDC Issues Romaine Lettuce Warning

Dubois County (NNDC):

The Center for Disease Control hasĀ  issued a new warning about Romaine lettuce, just before the Thanksgiving holiday, as an E. Coli outbreak continues to make people sick.

Over a dozen people have been hospitalized and at least 157 others have gotten sick in 11 states.

Consumers who have any type of romaine lettuce in their home should not eat it and should throw it away, even if some of it was eaten and no one has gotten sick.

this includes all types or uses of romaine lettuce, such as whole heads of romaine, hearts of romaine, and bags and boxes of pre-cut lettuce and salad mixes that contain romaine, including baby romaine, spring mix, and Caesar salad.
