Tough Night for Area Girls Basketball Teams

Dubois County (NNDC):  Tuesday night proved to be a tough night for 3 Dubois County Girls Basketball teams.   Southridge, Forest Park and NE Dubois were all in action on Tuesday night and all 3 picked up a loss.   Southridge entered the game at 0-4 against Evansville Mater Dei who came into Memorial Gym with a 1-0 mark on the young season following their OT win last week over Boonville.   The Raiders held tough but came up 7 points short with Mater Dei winning 41-34.  Southridge drops to 0-5 on the season and will travel to Evansville Bosse on Friday night.

NE Dubois was also looking for their first win of the season on Tuesday night as they traveled to South Knox who entered the game with a 1-3 record.   South Knox gained control early and cruised to a 54-31 win.   The Jeeps fall to 0-7.  NE Dubois returns to action on Thursday night as they travel to Orleans who will enter the game with a 2-0 record.

The Forest Park Rangers hosted Gibson Southern as both teams entered the game with a 1-2 record.   The Titans proved to be to much for the Rangers to handle as Gibson Southern rolled to a 74-48 victory.   The Rangers drop to 1-3 on the season and travel to Perry Central on Thursday night.   The Commodores will enter the game with a 1-4 record following their 17 point, Tuesday night loss to South Spencer.

Evansville Mater Dei: 41 -vs- Southridge: 34 (Myah Montgomery – 17 pts)

Gibson Southern: 74 -vs- Forest Park: 48 (Ali Welp – 13 pts)
