First Snowfall Possibly on it’s Way

Dubois County (NNDC):

Dubois County could see the first snowfall of the season Monday night as cold air continues to filter in to the area.

Monday into Monday night, the National Weather Service expects the precipitation will begin as rain in the afternoon Monday, but could possibly transition into snow Monday evening as cold air drops down from the north.

Forecasting models show various unknowns about the forecast and different weather models agree that we will get some sort of  precipitation.  The models are do disagree, however, on the type and amount of precipitation.

As of now, the weather service is calling for no more than an inch of snow for our area, but again, the NWS warns this forecast is likely to change between now and the time the system arrives Monday night.

This could impact road conditions so use caution when driving.
