Santa Claus is Coming to Jasper

Jasper (NNDC):

The Greater Downtown Jasper Business Association announced Tuesday that Santa Claus will arrive in Jasper during the day on Friday, Nov. 23.

Santa will travel from the Jasper Fire Station to his special house on the courthouse square in a bright red fire engine.

Everyone is welcome to meet with Santa at the East Sixth Street Fire Station from noon until 1 p.m.  At that time, Santa and his elves will be joined by members of the Jasper High School band on his trip to the west side of the Christmas decorated downtown Square. Children are encouraged to dress up like Christmas packages and walk along in the mini parade.

Members of the band will play Christmas music, an elementary school contest winner will open the door so Santa and his elves can enter and greet children for the remainder of the afternoon. Mayor Terry Seitz will be on hand to welcome everyone with a special Christmas greeting.

Santa will then be available for the children in his special Christmas House until 3 p.m.  Children and families are also encouraged to bring canned foods that will be donated to the Community Food Bank.
