Kay Schwinghamer, 67, Holland

Kay Schwinghamer, 67, of Holland, died Friday, October 12, at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. She was born in Huntingburg January 30, 1951, to Raymond and Arla (Egbert) Meyer. She married Mark Alan Schwinghamer November 25, 1977, at St. James Lutheran Church in Holland. He died January 8, 2015.

Kay was a homemaker and a teacher’s aide, a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Holland, enjoyed reading and bird watching, and was a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

She is survived by three daughters, Melissa Schwinghamer, Holland, Amanda Johnson and husband Adam, Indianapolis, and Lauren Hayes and husband Johnny, Otwell; and one grandchild, Callie Johnson.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Allan Meyer, and one sister, Patricia Kuntz.

Friends may call from noon-2 p.m. Tuesday at St. James Church. The Nass and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions can be made to The Linda E.
