Dubois County (NNDC):

Annual Elections - Sandy PinesEarly voting for November’s midterm elections is off to a good beginning.  Currently it is located at the Dubois County Annex (located across the street East of the Court House), but satellite early voting will be happening across the county throughout the next few weeks.

Voting hours are 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM.

The renovated Market Street Park to open Friday, just in time for the 6th annual Haunted Huntingburg celebration this weekend.

The extensive renovation will help highlight this weekends events as well as provide a venue for all sorts of future events, recreation, and lots of fun.

Woman crashes into North side Dollar General store in Huntingburg:

Huntingburg Police were dispatched to the North Side Dollar General Store in reference to a property damage accident early afternoon Tuesday.  Victoria Schulthise was pulling in the store parking lot when her foot hit the gas, causing her red Buick to jump the parking curb and it slammed into metal siding of the store.  Damage estimates run from $2,500 and $5,000 each  for both the vehicle and the store.  Thankfully there were no injuries involved in the incident.

 

Domestic battery lands Jasper Man in Jail:

Fei Tian

Wednesday around 2:30 Pm, Jasper Police were dispatched to the report of a physical altercation in which Fei Tian of Jasper was battering a female subject inside their home.  After further investigation, officers charged the male subject with Domestic Battery in the presence of a child less than 16 years old, a level 6 felony.

Tian was arrested and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
