Ferdinand Man Arrested:

Man Arrested, Four Taken to Hospitals Following Two Crashes in Bretzville Monday Morning


Police investigation determined that 22-year-old Richard Dooley III of Ferdinand had marijuana in his system and fell asleep behind the wheel hitting a scooter.  The two scooter riders were thrown to the ground in the 6:40 Monday morning incident.

Dooley was charged with two counts of OWI causing serious bodily injury which is a felony.

One of the scooter individuals on the moped was airlifted to an Evansville hospital.  Another was taken to Evansville by ambulance.

Another driver saw the traffic but was not able to stop in time, rear-ending another vehicle.

Both of those drivers refused treatment at the scene and were taken to the hospital by private vehicle.


Huntingburg to open new park:

A special dedication ceremony is planned for this Friday at the newly renovated Market Street Park in Huntingburg .Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch will be on hand to deliver remarks for the occasion.

This comes just in time for the city’s annual Haunted Huntingburg coming up this weekend.

The dedication will be held at 5:00 p.m. at the new Market Street Park.

Democrat Donnelly boasts about supporting Trump at Indiana Senate debateMike Braun a Jasper native and current Indiana Senator Joe Donnelly held a first debate Monday evening with boxer style appeal.  Donnelly accusing Braun of blindly willing to follow any directive the president requests without properly representing the State of Indiana.  Braun counters with, in his view, Donnelly has been in Washington too long and is out of touch and that Indiana needs a fresh new voice.
