Kent R. Fleck, 68, Jasper

Kent R. Fleck, 68, of Jasper, died Moday, October 1, at his home. He was born in Huntingburg January 14, 1950, to Virgil and Evelyn (Hartke) Fleck. He married Martha Vollmer July 12, 1969, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland.

Kent owned and operated Winslow Package Liquors since 2010. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and the Winslow American Legion. He enjoyed nature, especially walking, hiking, camping, and playing frisbee golf.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Fleck; one daughter, Rachel Hoffman and husband Keith, Jasper; one son, Jason Fleck and wife Cortney, Virginia Beach, Virginia; four grandchildren, Jackson and Holland Fleck and Taylor and Morgan Hoffman; one sister, Glenda Neukam and husband Terry, Dubois; and two brothers, Dennis Fleck and wife Anne and Bruce Fleck, all of Jasper.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Evan Fleck.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity United Church of Christ. Memorial contributions can be made to Trinity UCC or to a favorite charity. Online condolences can be shared at www.becherkluesner.com. Funeral services at 11 a.m. at the church with burial following at a later date. Pastor Jane Hillman will officiate.
