2018 Herbsfest Miss Contestants and Pre-teen Contestants Announced

Huntingburg (NNDC) – The 2018 Huntingburg Herbstfest Miss and Pre-Teen Miss Queen Pageants are set for Sunday, September 23rd at the Southridge High School Auditorium starting at 6:30 p.m. EST. The following 8 contestants are competing for the title of Miss Herbstfest 2018, who will be crowned by Miss Herbstfest 2017 Jenna Brock.

Miss:

Chaney Barrett is the 16-year-old daughter of Scott and Carla Barrett of Huntingburg. She is a junior at Southridge High School, where she is a member of Student Council, SADD, FCA, Spirit Club, German Club, cheerleading, swimming, and track. She plans to attend IUPUI to student Pre-Dental, hoping to become an Orthodontist. She is sponsored by her family.

Joscelyn Blanchard is the 19-year-old daughter of Sheila Blanchard of Huntingburg. She is a 2018 graduate of Southridge High School, where she was a member of cheerleading, choir, musical, FCA, and Spirit Club. She is currently attending The Salon Professional Academy where she is studying Cosmetology. She is sponsored by her family.

Ashley Sutton is the 17- year-old daughter of Brent and Rose Sutton of Huntingburg. She is a senior at Southridge High School where she is a member of softball, STEM Club, FFA, Art Club, Spirit Club, National Honors Society, and Key Club. She plans to attend Vincennes University to study Elementary Education, hoping to be a teacher. She is sponsored by Grounded.

Louisa Nino is the 18-year-old daughter of Primitivo and Judy Nino of Huntingburg. She is a 2018 graduate of Southridge High School where she was a member of band and choir. She is currently attending Indiana University where she is involved in Distributive Education Clubs of America, American Marketing Association, IU Dance Marathon, and Business Economics and Public Policy. She is sponsored by her family.

Keysha Kieser is the 17-year-old daughter of Mike Vailes and Carol Vailes of Huntingburg. She is a senior at Southridge High School where she is a member of soccer and choir. She is sponsored by her family.

Juana Sandoval is the 17-year-old daughter of Lupe and Jennifer Sandoval of Huntingburg. She is a senior at Southridge High School where she is a member of band, Key Club, SADD, and Natural Helpers. She is sponsored by her family.

Kimberly Martin is the 17-year-old daughter of Abel DeLeon and Sylvia Scales of Huntingburg. She is a senior at Southridge High School where she is a member of Freshman Mentors, Latino Advocacy Club, FCCLA, Spirit Club, musical, choir, band, and is President of Student Council. She plans to attend Ball State University to study nursing, hoping to be a nurse practitioner. She is sponsored by her family.

Kira Dewitt is the 16-year-old daughter of Andy and Staci Dewitt of Huntingburg. She is a sophomore at Southridge High School where she is a member of cheerleading, FFA, Spirit Club, FCA, and choir. She is sponsored by Scott’s Performance Engine Center.
