Ronald Gary Mason, 80, Huntingburg

Ronald Gary Mason, 80, of Huntingburg, died Saturday, September 15, at his home. He was born in Spurgeon August 9, 1938, to Henry Sutton and Inza (Nikon) Mason. He married Lois Tribbie September 12, 1981, at the Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial Chapel.

Ron worked as a mechanical engineer for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing. He was a member of Redemption Christian Church in Jasper and a former member of the Spurgeon Baptist Church and Ridgecrest Baptist Church in St. Charles, Missouri. He served in the Army National Guard, was a 50 year member of the Masons, and a member of the Winslow Masonic Lodge No. 260 F&AM and the Scottish Rite.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Mason, Huntingburg; one daughter, Pamela Mason, St. Louis; one son, Gary Mason, St. Charles, Missouri; two sisters, Sharon Henke, Ellisville, Missouri, and Ruth Ann Fowler, Silvis, Illinois;  three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Spurgeon General Baptist Church. The Winslow Masonic Lodge will conduct a memorial vigil service at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
