Serious Personal Injury Accident in Huntingburg (Updated)

Dubois County (NNDC):

There was a serious personal injury accident in Huntingburg  late Wednesday. 

On September 12, 2018 at approximately 4:15 PM, the Huntingburg Police Department were dispatched to the 600 block of N Main Street reference a vehicle accident involving a scooter with injuries. When officers arrived, they observed a red scooter, operated by David Gray of Winslow pushed under the front of a white Mercury SUV that was being operated by David L. Weddle of Dale.  After speaking with witnesses from the scene and the completion of the field investigation, it was determined that David Gray was left of center attempting to turn into the Subway parking lot on his scooter while traveling south on US 231 when he laid the scooter over to avoid being struck by David Weddle of Dale whom was traveling North on US 231.

David Weddle of Dale came to a complete stop as David Gray slid his red scooter under the front of David Weddle’s white SUV. David Gray was transported to Memorial Hospital by EMS 230 for a visual broken leg and back of head injury.   David Weddle of Dale sustained no inures was able to drive his vehicle away from the scene with one broken fog light lens and a scuff on front bumper.
