6th Annual Latino Cultural Festival at the Huntingburg City Park!

Huntingburg (NNDC) – The sixth annual Latino Cultural Festival is in full swing at the Huntingburg city park.  The festival provides the opportunity for everyone to experience this culture and diversity in our local community by coming together as one.  There are many events scheduled for today and the great food is already being served, if you have never been down to the festival you have plenty of time activities will go on until 11pm tonight.

News Now talked with ALASI(Association of Latinos in Southern Indiana)  Vice President Helen Camacho and Festival organizer Primo Nino about what the fest offers.

Many events will take place today including Children’s crafts, Mexican Cultural Dance, Face Painting, Taco eating contest, and lots of Live entertainment.  You can also visit with a lot of vendors not only for food but also information about their business and how they are working with the Latino community.  And like any festival or event it takes a lot of sponsors and promotion for an event like this as Primo Nino explain.

As we mentioned there is plenty of food at the festival, good music, and contest including the taco eating contest that Helen tells us more about.

So, come join the fun today!
