Dubois County (NNDC):

A Jasper man was arrested and charged with felony counts of child molestation as well as battery and child solicitation.

Charges stemmed from an investigation by the Indiana State Police that began on June 27, 2018, when they received a report of the allegations against Clayton T. Nordhoff,  23, of 4441 Downey Street, Jasper.

Court documents indicate the incidents involving the 5-year-old victim occurred between June 1 and June 26.

Based on the investigation, Nordhoff is charged with the felony counts of child molestation as well as a felony count of battery resulting in bodily injury to a person less than 14 years of age and a felony count of child solicitation.




Memorial Family Care relocates.

Memorial Family Care has announced it will be moving to a new location in September.  They are currently located on First Avenue in Jasper, will close September 10th to move to its new building at 966 Bartley Street in Jasper.

The clinic will also change its name and It is to reopen under the name Memorial Health Family Medicine.




The Jasper Street Dept along with its contractor,  will be conducting the  road work beginning on Wednesday, Aug. 15.

The current plan is to mill the following streets on Wed. Aug. 15 with paving to follow on Thursday and Friday.

Franklin Street, from 13th St. to 14th St.

Emily Street, from 6th St. to 13th St

W. 10th Street, from Dorbett St. to Carroll St

E. 13th Street, from Newton St. to Jackson St.


These streets will be open to traffic, however, motorists can expect delays & may want to avoid these areas and may be delayed due to weather or other unforeseen events.
