Judith A. “Judy” Bockelman, 76, Evansville

Judith A. “Judy” Bockelman, 76, of Evansville, died Wednesday (August 8) at North Park Nursing Center in Evansville. She was born in Washington May 15, 1942, to Floyd and Esther (Ray) Fields.

Judy was a graduate of Washington Catholic High School. She worked 20 years for M. Fine & Son in Bedford and at PTS Electronics for 10 years. She was a member of St. Benedict Cathedral and enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jerry A. Bockelman; two sons, Wayne Bockelman, Evansville, and Scott Bockelman and wife Kristy, Glen Ellyn, Illinois; one sister, Marilyn Helms; one brother, Fred Fields; seven grandchildren, Emily Cvengros and husband Blake, Ryan and wife Stephanie, Luke and wife Marci, Jacob, Evan, Dylan, and Sarah; and one great-grandchild, Leland.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Michaels and Mary Ellen Ochs, and one brother, Richard Fields. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Benedict Cathedra with burial following at a later date in St. John Cemetery in Washington.
