Bombers Win Game One in Playoffs

Huntingburg (NNDC) – Game one of the OVL Playoffs took place on Friday night at League Stadium and it looked as if the Dubois County Bombers would fall behind in the series.    The Henderson Flash were playing very good baseball and had jumped out to a 3-0 lead after one and took a 5-2 lead into the bottom of the 8th inning.   That’s when the Bombers took over.   Dubois County had already plated 2 runs when Nolan Ramsey came to the plate and doubled on a 3-2 count scoring two more runs giving the Bombers a 6-5 lead which would prove to be enough for the win.   The Bombers added one more to the tally and pulled out a 7-5 win in game one of the OVL Playoffs over Henderson.

Reece Kleinhelter picked up the win for Dubois County.   He pitched three innings, allowing one run while striking out two.   Dubois County had five hits on the day and was led by Evan Aders who went 2 for 4 at the plate and had a fifth inning homerun.

The two teams meet again tonight in Henderson in the best of 3 series.
