Bombers Pick Up 21st Win of the Season

Huntingburg (NNDC) – A wild night of baseball in Henderson as the Bombers hold on to a 13-12 victory.    The Flash fought back after falling down by eight runs to the Bombers in the seventh inning.   Dubois County led 8-2 after four innings and 13-5 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning.    Henderson started their comeback attempt in the bottom of the seventh as they plated 3 runs allowing them to get within five with two innings to go.    The Bombers held the Flash scoreless in the eighth but Henderson lit up the Bombers in the bottom of the ninth as the Flash had four players cross home plate, leaving them one run short of the comeback.    The win is Dubois County’s third in a row and 21st of the season.

Evan Hall picked up the win for Dubois County.  He allowed eight hits and five runs over five innings while striking out six.   Both teams combined for 25 hits in the game with Dubois County having 12 of those 25.   John McDonald,  Chase Andrews and Nick Gonzalez had multiple hits for the Bombers.

Dubois County returns home on Tuesday for a one game homestand before hitting the road for the remainder of the week.   Tonight’s opponent is the Fulton Railroaders with the first pitch set for 7pm.
