Bombers Improve to 10 – 9 on the Season

Huntingburg (NNDC) – The Dubois County Bombers improved their record to 10 – 9 on the season with an 8 run victory over the Fulton Railroaders on Sunday.   The Bombers scored early and often after taking a 1-0 lead in the first inning before Fulton knotted the game up in the bottom half of the inning.   Dubois County added three more runs in the 2nd and five more in the 3rd inning and never looked back.    After a four spot in the 4th, Fulton would not score again in the game which saw the Bombers win by the score of 14-6.

Dubois County had 13 hits in the game and committed 5 errors.   Evan Sankey picked up the win for the Bombers.   In 4 innings, Sankey did not allow a hit or run and struck out 6 while walking 1.

The Bombers return to action on Tuesday night as they face Madisonville at League Stadium.  First pitch is set for 7pm and its Youth League and Non-Profit Appreciation night.   As part of Youth League night, baseball and softball teams who wear their jerseys get into the game for FREE.   Dubois County will also be honoring local Nonprofit Organizations with the Dubois County Community Foundation.
