Dubois County (NNDC):

– Three people were arrested for allegedly attempting to pass a counterfeit $100 bill marked for movie use only at a local gas station, according to Jasper police, the Huck’s Convenience Store, 231 Third Avenue, received a counterfeit $100 bill on Tuesday.During the investigation, police determined  Zach Uppencamp, allegedly passed the counterfeit bill to Neil Pitstick, a cashier at Huck’s after going inside to work his shift. Pitstick allegedly made change for the $100 bill.Later, Chelsea Hager, supposedly  came inside to pick up the change in real $5 bills from Pitstick. Hager and Uppencamp then left the store.  Police subsequently confirmed the counterfeit bill and charged all three with theft as well as charging Uppencamp with a level 6 felony of counterfeiting, all three were booked into the Dubois County Security Center.
– Two people are in jail today on multiple drug charges.  Jasper Police were executing a search warrant yesterday just before 1 p.m. on a home occupied by 26-year-old Teilia Hemmerlein on Wagner Street.  Police  say they found 2 types of Legend Drugs, syringes used to inject heroin and several glass pipes used to smoke meth. They also found more syringes in a backpack belonging to David Porter of Huntingburg.He’s charged with Possession of a Syringe and Visiting a Common Nuisance.Hemmerlein is charged with Possession of Heroin, two counts of Possession of a Legend Drug, possession of both a syringe and paraphernalia and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.Both are lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.

Police were executing a search warrant yesterday just before 1 p.m. on a home occupied by 26-year-old Teilia Hemmerlein on Wagner Street.

Police say they found 2 types of Legend Drugs, syringes used to inject heroin and several glass pipes used to smoke metH along with syringes in a backpack belonging to David Porter of Huntingburg.

He’s charged with Possession of a Syringe and Visiting a Common Nuisance.

Hemmerlein is charged with Possession of Heroin, two counts of Possession of a Legend Drug, possession of both a syringe and paraphernalia and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

Both are lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.
