Donald M. Rohlman, Sr., 80, Jasper

Donald M. Rohlman, Sr., 80, of Jasper, died Thursday (June 21) at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. He was born in Huntingburg December 27, 1937, to Leo G. and Mildred (Skaggs) Rohlman. He married Melba J. Vaughn November 1, 1958, in Huntingburg.

Donald worked as a lineman for R.E.M.C. He was self-employed at Rohlman Home Improvement; did maintenance work at MasterBrand, and retired from R and P Auto and Truck Repair. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg.

He is survived by his wife, Melba J. Rohlman; three daughters, Deborah S. London, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Tres A. Vaal and husband Stan, Birdseye, and Connie L. Irwin and husband Tim, East Hartland, Connecticut; three sons, Donald M. Rohlman, Jr. and wife Patsy, Brian T. Rohlman and wife Babs, and David A. Rohlman, all of Jasper; one sister, Shirley Voegerl, Huntingburg; one brother, Bob Rohlman and wife Jane, Jasper; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and six step great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Monday at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Memorial contributions can be made to Riley Children’s Hospital, The Honor Flight Program, or to a favorite charity. Online condolences can be shared at Funeral services at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Mark West officiating. A committal service and interment will take place at noon Saturday at Fairmount Cemetery.
