Jeff E. Fleck, 61, Jasper

Jeff E. Fleck, 61, of Jasper, died Friday (June 15) at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. He was born in Jasper January 3, 1957, to Albert H. and LaVern C. (Sermersheim) Fleck.

Jeff worked for SIRS in Ferdinand, for the Jasper Knights of Columbus, and for other area restaurants. He was an Eagle Scout with Troop No. 188 and was a Special Olympics athlete, winning numerous medals. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, the Jasper Knights of Columbus, and was an associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family at his residence in Jacob’s Village in Evansville, shrimp dinners, and collecting stuffed animals.

He is survived by one sister, Lisa Kuebler and husband Scott, Jasper; five brothers, Steve Fleck and wife Nancy and Doug Fleck, all of Jasper, Pat Fleck and wife Lavern and Greg Fleck and wife Connie, all of Evansville, and Chris Fleck, Newburgh; and nieces and nephews..

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one nephew, Nathan Fleck, one sister-in-law, Mary Fleck, and on great-niece, Mia Collier.

Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Church, Jacob’s Village in Evansville, or to a favorite charity. Online condolences may be made at www.becherkluesner.com.
