Eugene Louis Rademacher, Sr., 76, Holland

Eugene Louis Rademacher, Sr., 76, of Holland, died Sunday (June 10) at Scenic Hills Care Center in Ferdinand. He was born in Holland June 11, 1941, to Andrew and Helen E. (Schwartz) Rademacher. He married Mary Jane Fest October 26, 1963, at St. Henry Catholic Church in St. Henry.

Eugene was employed at Holland Dairy for 33 years and retired as a truck jockey at Best Chairs. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and the Holland American Legion. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, Southridge Raiders, and Indiana University sports fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Rademacher; one daughter, Jennifer Nordhoff and husband Larry, Jasper; one son, Eugene “J.R.” Rademacher and wife Dianna, Holland; two sisters, Roseann Scott and husband Ron and Janet Smith and husband Parvin, all of Dale; two brothers, Terry Rademacher and wife Debbi, Memphis, and Joe Rademacher and wife Anita, Montgomery; five grandchildren, Amanda Henke and husband Jared, Jasper, Audrey Leinenbach and husband Sean and Blake Rademacher and wife Erika, all of of Holland, Aryn Meyer and husband Michael, Portland, Tennessee, and Cody Rademacher and wife Dea, Selvin; and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg and from 9-10 a.m. Thursday at St. James Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Church or to wishes of the family. Online condolences may be shared at Funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. James Church with burial following in the St. James Lutheran Cemetery West in Holland. Pastor David Darling will officiate at the service.
