Elizabeth “Betti” Kempf, 65, Ferdinand

Elizabeth “Betti” Kempf, 65, of Ferdinand, died Thursday (June 7) at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Ferdinand June 25, 1952, to Robert and Patricia (Carlisle) Oser. She married Glenn Kempf  August 1, 1970, at St. Ferdinand Church.

Betti worked for 40 years in accounts payable. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandkids. She enjoyed flower gardening and reading and attending car shows with her husband. She was a member of Christ the King Parish, St. Ferdinand Church where she served as an usher, the Ferdinand American Legion Auxiliary, and the Ferdinand Community Center. She was a Friend of the Ferdinand Library.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn; two sons, Ryan Kempf and wife Valerie, Durham, North Carolina, and Luke Kempf and wife Meredith, Evansville; two brothers, Rich Oser and wife Laverne and Randy Oser and wife Bev, all of Ferdinand; three sisters, Pearline Wilson, Pam Kippenbrock and husband Dave, and Kim Oser, all of Ferdinand; and two grandchildren, Gabrielle and Elijah Kempf, both of Durham, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Patricia Oser.
