Fr. Angelo Quadrini, FDP, 83, Boston

Fr. Angelo Quadrini, FDP., 83, of Boston, a former administrator of the Providence Home in Jasper, died Tuesday (February 20) in Naples, Florida, while visiting his brother and sister-in-law. He was born in Castelliri, south of Rome, Italy, May 8, 1934.

He entered the order of the Don Orione Fathers at age 15 and took his vows five years later in 1954. After completing his theological studies at St. John Seminary, Brighton, Massachusetts, he was ordained a priest on February 10, 1965, in Boston. After ordination, Fr. Angelo was assigned to the Diocese of London and Liverpool in the United Kingdom where he worked in homes operated by the Sons of Divine
Providence as delegate, bursur and councellor.  In December 1994, Fr. Angelo was assigned to succeed Fr. Thadeus Sztuczko as administrator of the Providence Home in Jasper. He served for approximately 20 years in the Diocese of Evansville as superior of the Providence Home. He celebrated his 50th Jubilee as a priest in Jasper February 10, 2015.

A Funeral Mass for Fr. Angelo was celebrated in Boston and according to his wishes, he was buried in Castelliri, Italy, beside his parents.

There will be two Memorial Masses for Fr. Angelo in Jasper. The first will be held at the Cathedral Health Care, formerly the Providence Home, chapel at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 19. The second will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 24.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dubois County Community Foundation Fund in the name of the Sons of Divine Providence or the Friends of the Grotto, or to a favorite charity. Becher-Kluesner Funeral Home is in charge of the Memorial Masses.
