Thomas R. Brosmer, 78, Jasper

Thomas R. Brosmer, 78, of Jasper, died Sunday (April 29) at his home. He was born in Jasper October 8, 1939, to William and Rose (Schroering) Brosmer. He married Judy Dorsam. She died November 3, 1989. He married Jean Long September 26, 2009, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper.

Tom was co-owner of Jasper Woodworking. He was a member of Holy Family Chruch and a life lifelong member of the Jasper Wrestling Club. He enjoyed pontooning at Beaver Lake and fishing, and was a St. Louis Cardinal and Indianapolis Colts fan.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Brosmer; three sons, Greg Brosmer and wife Linda, Don Brosmer and wife Cheri, and Allen Brosmer and wife Hayley, all of Jasper; one step-daughter, Kristine Keller, Jasper; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Catherine Mehringer, Jasper; and two brothers, Robert Brosmer and wife Ramona and Alf Brosmer, all of Jasper.

In addition to his parents and his first wife he was preceded in death by two sons, Brian and Keith Brosmer, three sisters, Anna Mae DeMotte, Betty Brosmer, and Lillian Fromme, and three brothers, Roman and Harold Brosmer and infant James Brosmer.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Church or the Jasper Wrestling Club.
