Virginia H. “Jenny” Pfaff, 92, Huntingburg

Virginia H. “Jenny” Pfaff, 92, of Huntingburg, died Tuesday (April 17) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Huntingburg December 7, 1925, in Huntingburg to James and Laura (Denk) Jenkins. She married Charles Pfaff July 2, 1949, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.

Jenny was a member of St. Mary’s Church and its Ladies Sodality and the VFW Post 2366 Auxiliary. She was a homemaker and worked at General Electric, Gossard’s and as a part-time school cafeteria worker.

She is survived by one son, Kerry Pfaff and wife Sherry, Hutingburg; one daughter, Cheryl Pfaff, Huntingburg; and one sister, Linda Kinkade, Indianapolis.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Pfaff, one son, Mark Pfaff, and two brothers, Walter and Raymond Jenkins.

Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Friday at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. A parish rosary, led by Deacon Tom Holsworth, will be prayed at 6 p.m. followed by a VFW Post 2366 Auxilary Memorial Service at 6:30. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church or the Dubois County Humane Society. Online condolences can be shared at Funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Father Ryan Hilderbrand will officiate at the funeral mass.
