Helen Elizabeth Rademacher, 102, Holland

Helen Elizabeth Rademacher, 102, of Holland, died Thursday (April 12) at Willowdale Village Nursing Home in Dale. She was born near Bretzville March 24, 1916, to Anthony and Gertrude (Bretz) Schwartz. She married Andrew Rademacher September 7, 1940, at St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church in Bretzville. He died January 4, 1983.

Helen was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Holland where she was a long-time Youth Choir Mother and a member of the Women of the Church. She enjoyed working outdoors with her flowers and mowing grass. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Roseann Scott and husband Ron and Janet Smith and husband Parvin, all of Dale; three sons, Eugene Rademacher and wife Mary Jane, Holland, Terry Rademacher and wife Debbi, Memphis, and Joe Rademacher and wife Anita, Montgomery; two sisters, Flora Phillipy and husband Bob, Jasper, and Ardella Meyer, Mayfield, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Welp, and seven brothers, Arthur, Edgar, Alvin, Carl, Gilbert, Elmer, and Alfred Schwartz.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg and from 1-2 p.m. Monday at St James Church. Memorial contributions can be made to St. James Lutheran Church or to the St. John’s U.C.C. Cemetery Fund. Online condolences may be shared at www.nassandson.com.
