Thomas Othmar Weyer, 66, St. Anthony

Thomas Othmar Weyer, 66, of St. Anthony, died Tuesday (April 10) at his home. He was born in Huntingburg November 14,1951, to Othmar “Oats” and Helen (Heilers) Weyer. He married Doris L. Klem.

Thomas retired from Masterbrand Cabinets in Ferdinand. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a member of St. Anthony American Legion Post No. 493 and Ferdinand American Legion Post No. 124 and Redemption Christian Church in Jasper. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Doris L. Klem; two sons, Craig Weyer and wife Lori and Clifford Weyer and wife Leah, both of St. Anthony; two daughters, Erin Gould (Ryan Stemle), Schnellville, and Nina Pitt and husband Chad, Plainfield; two stepsons, Dwayne Klem and wife Cindy, St. Anthony and Brian Klem and wife Jennifer, Coppell, Texas; three stepdaughters, Glenda Brames and husband Matt and Rhonda Oser, all of Bretzville, and Sheila Wagner and husband Roman, St. Anthony; 13 grandchildren; 17 step grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; three brothers, Wayne Weyer and wife Linda, Ferdinand, Tim Weyer and wife Liz, Bozeman, Montana, and Joe Weyer, Spokane, Washington; and three sisters, Linda Herrington, Richardson, Texas, Kathy Schneiders and husband Jack, Ferdinand, and Jane Marquez and husband Larry, Collierville, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Norb Nordhoff.

Friends may call from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Redemption Christian Church. Online condolences may be shared at Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday at the church. Rev. Darrel Land will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Ferdinand Church Cemetery. St. Anthony American Legion Post 493 will conduct military graveside rites.
