Harold R. “Ronnie” Young, 70, Jasper

Harold R. “Ronnie” Young, 70, of Jasper, died Wednesday (April 11) at his home. He was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, December 21, 1947, to James and Ann Young. He married Carolyn Trotter December 26, 1967.

Ronnie was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of VFW Post No. 673 and American

Legion Post No.147. He worked for National Office Furniture 11th Avenue Plant in Jasper for 35 years, was a member of the Indiana Freemasons Lodge No. 520, and enjoyed his family and spending time with his dog Otis.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Young, two daughters, Roxanne Snyder and husband Don, Santa Claus, and Jennifer Kaus, Jasper; three grandchildren, Austin Anderson and wife Whitney, Dylan Anderson, and Collin Snyder; two great-grandchildren, Quinton and Ryder Anderson; his mother, Ann Owen, Evansville; one sister, Mary Ann Anderson, Ferndale, California, and one brother, Doug Owen, Evansville.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Young.

Friends may call from noon-2 p.m. Monday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity. Online condolences may be shared at www.becherkluesner.com. Funeral services at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with burial following in the Jasper Enlow City Cemetery. American Legion Post No. 147 will conduct military graveside rites.
