Rosalee Stemle, 91, Jasper

Rosalee Stemle, 91, of Jasper, died Monday (April 9) at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. She was born in Ireland August 20, 1926, to Leo and Rosina (Giesler) Hoffman. She married Lawrence “Lefty” Stemle October 30, 1948, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland. He died February 2, 2013.

Rosalee was a graduate of Ireland High School. She was a homemaker and worked at Leed’s Selling Tools and Braunecker Cabinet Company. She enjoyed playing golf and cards and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland.

She is survived by two sons, Steve (Peggy) Stemle and husband Peggy, Owensboro, Kentucky, and Pat Stemle and wife Deb, Jasper; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Cathy Ash.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary’s Church building fund or to a favorite charity.
