Ireland Celebration Kicks in High Gear this Weekend

Ireland (NNDC) – The St. Patrick’s Day Celebration kicks it up a notch this weekend in Ireland starting Friday with St. Mary’s Church Fish Fry held at the St. Mary Church Community Center 4pm until sold out – just $9.00 a plate Eat in or Carry out.   Then new this year is Dodgeball at the Ireland elementary school doors open at 5:30pm event starts at 6:30pm 6 person team with 1 sub optional.  Saturday morning features the Irish trot 5k run/walk and St. Patty’s breakfast at the Knights of Columbus 8am-11am followed by the St. Patty’s Bake – Off.

Also in the morning the O’Blarney Kids Games at the Ireland fire station from 9am – 1pm, Craft & Vendor Show in the school gym until 3pm, Irish Burger Slider contest and Craft Brew Tasting, Spud Shoot, Irish I win ball drop another new event then Irish Mass at 4:30pm at St. Mary’s followed by the Dinner Auction at 6:30pm.

Sunday features Ireland’s famous BBQ Chicken & Pork Chop Dinners until sold out more fun on the grounds then the annual parade at 1pm. News Now Dubois County will cover the parade Live again on your mobile device and then watch it again at newsnowdc.com.
