Wildcats Top Cougars, 50-37, In Regular Season Finale

Basketball (NNDC) – The Jasper Wildcats completed regular season play with a 50 to 37 victory Thursday night at North Daviess. It was the Cats’ seventh victory in a row, their 9th in their last 12 outings. They will take a 14 and 8 record into the post season next week, playing Evansville Harrison Tuesday night in the first round of the Class 4A Sectional at Evansville North.

Southridge, Forest Park, and Northeast Dubois close their regular seasons tonight. The Raiders play at Boonville and the Rangers and Jeeps clash at Dubois.

Southridge takes a 9 and 13 record into tonight’s finale having lost their last four outings, six of their last eight. The Pioneers, 5 and 16,  have lost 12 of their last 14 games. Forest Park and Dubois are two of the hottest teams in Southern Indiana heading into their season finale matchup. The Rangers are 18 and 4, have won five in a row and 9 of their last 12. The Jeeps, 13 and 8, have also won their last five outings, seven of their last eight.

The Southridge-Boonville game tips off at 7 o’clock, the Forest Park-Dubois game begins at 7:30.
