Doll Silent Auction Underway at Dubois County Museum

Jasper (NNDC) – A special silent auction, featuring seven collectible dolls, is underway at the Dubois County Museum in Jasper and continues through March 31, when the bidding stops and the dolls are awarded.

The dolls were given to the museum from the private collection of the late Ida Joe Temple, one of the founding directors of the museum. At her request, the proceeds from the auction will go to the Little Pioneers children’s room for exhibits and progrms.

The dolls are on display with information on the dolls and bidding instructions. Dolls may be viewed and bids placed during regular museum hours.

The auction is being held in conjunction with the Dolls and Dollhouse Exhibit which opened on March 1. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, and 1-4 p.m. Sundays. The museum is closed on Mondays.
