Arlene Ziegler Arnold, 80, New Albany

Arlene Ziegler Arnold, 80, of New Albany, died Sunday (February 11) at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was born in Dubois January 20, 1938, to Harl C. and Jessie (Friedman) Ziegler.

Arlene was a graduate of Dubois High School. She retired from Clark County Memorial Hospital where she worked for many years. She also worked for the Clark County Medical Society. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at the Dubois Crossroads.

She is survived by two sisters, Virlee Ziegler Elkins, Jasper, and Sheila Stultz and husband Paul, Havre de Grace, Maryland; and one brother, Robert Ziegler, Jasper.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Arnold, two sisters, Furba Lou (Dot) Riggle and Delores (Sis) Stone, and three brothers, Martin, Marvin, and David (Bud) Ziegler.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church at the Dubois Crossroads. Private family funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. Mary Poston will officiate.
