Ray Roesner, 82, Vincennes

Ray Roesner, 82, of Vincennes, died Wednesday (February 7) at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. He was born in Holland July 22, 1935, to Edmond and Edna (Werremeyer) Roesner.

Ray was a teacher, coach, and principal at Southridge High School and a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Holland.

He is survived by his wife, Pat Smith Roesner; two daughters, Jennifer Thomas and Donna Gray and husband Tony, all of Huntingburg; one son, Stan Roesner, Jasper; two sisters, Melba Werremeyer and June Seufert, both of Holland; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Janice (Meyer) Roesner, who died October 5, 2005, and an infant son, Jeffery Ray Roesner.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg and from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at St. James Church. Online condolences may be chared at www.nassandson.com.
