Linda Sue Uppencamp, 70, Winslow

Linda Sue Uppencamp, 70, of Winslow, died Wednesday (February 7) at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Cynthiana February 16, 1947, to Paul and Audrey (Krohn) Montgomery. She married Paul Daniel Uppencamp August 10, 1964. He died April 12, 2004.

Linda was a homemaker and a member of The Gospel Center of Petersburg.

She is survived by three sons, Danny Uppencamp, Petersburg, David Uppencamp, Jasper, and Jerry Uppencamp, Petersburg; four daughters, Patty Froman, Lincoln City, Sheila Mosby, Winslow, and Tina Shober and Charmon, Jahn, both of Petersburg; two brothrs, Gene Montgomery, Huntingburg, and Ron Montgomery, Otwell; three sisters, Kathy Hartley, Petersburg, Pam Blanford, Winslow, and Peggy Layman, Ireland; one half-brother, Danny Montgomery; one half-sister, Sandy Burrows; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her step-father, John Uppencamp, four brothers, two grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

Friends may call from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at The Gospel Center. Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at Funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial following in Cup Creek Cemetery near Velpen. Pastor Rodney Fretwell will officiate.
