Kenneth R. Humbert, 64, Birdseye

Kenneth R. Humbert, 64, of Birdseye, died Monday (February 5) at his home. He was born in Jasper October 12, 1953, to Lawrence and Bernice (Stemle) Humbert. He married Wanda F. Parsons January 6, 1990. She died July 21, 1995. He married Teresa Denning May 17, 1996.

Kenneth worked at Dubois REC for 30 years and later owned Deerview Camp. He was a member of St. Isidore Parish – St. Celestine Catholic Church, the U.S. Army National Guard, the Jasper Moose, and the Celestine Community Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Humbert; two daughters, Kris Kendall and husband Phil and Kelli Faulkenberg, all of Jasper; two sons, Cody Humbert and wife Holly, Celestine, and Corey Humbert and wife Lori, Jasper; one step-daughter, April Smith and husband Brian, Jasper; two step-sons, Shane Fawks and wife Angie, Haysville, and Shawn Fawks, Huntingburg; 10 grandchildren, his mother, Bernice Humbert, Jasper, one brother, Glenn Humbert and wife Cheryl, Jasper; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father and first wife he was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Humbert.

Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Thursday at St. Celestine Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Isidore Parish or to a favorite charity. Online condolences may be made at A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Celestine Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
