Rangers, Wildcats Lose, Raiders, Jeeps Win Thursday BB Games

Dubois County (NNDC) – Evansville Mater Dei stunned Forest Park, 62 to 61, in a boys high school basketball upset Thursday night at Forest Park. The loss was only the second of the season for the Rangers, now 14 and 2. They will play again Saturday at Wood Memorial. Mater Dei improves to 6 and 10. The Wildcats play Saturday at Tell City.

Barr-Reeve defeated Jasper, 57 to 50, Thursday on the Wildcats’ home floor. The Vikings are now 13 and 2 for the season heading into a Saturday game at Loogootee. Jasper drops to 7 and 7 and will play Saturday afternoon at home against Heritage Hills.

Southridge and Northeast Dubois were both winners Thursday night.

The Raiders won a thriller at Gibson Southern, 59 to 57. The victory sends Southridge over the .500 mark at 9 and 8 heading into a Saturday afternoon game at home against Washington. The 8 and 6 Titans play Tuesday night at Boonville.

The Jeeps posted an impressive 66 to 34 win at North Knox, improving to 8 and 7 for the season. They will play at Paoli Saturday afternoon. The NK Warriors fall to 1 and 16. They play again Wednesday at Shoals.
