Community Foundation Announces New Board Appointments

Dubois County (From Release) – Jen Verkamp has been appointed president of the Dubois County Community Foundation board of directors. She will succeed outgoing president, Andrew Seger.

Verkamp received a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Kent State University and a master’s degree in Education and Nursing Administration from Xavier University. She is an active volunteer with the Girl Scouts and Dubois County CARES, is a member of the Young Women LEAD advisory board and has served on the Community Foundation board since 2014.

She and her husband Max, who live in Jasper, have three children.

The foundation board has also appointed a new member, Peter Ariens, to a three-year term on the board.

Ariens is Chief Executive Officer of NuMA Group, Inc., a specialty manufacturing company. Prior to joining NuMA Group, he served as president of Stens Corporation for 18 years. He serves on the board of directors for the nonprofit Anderson Woods, Inc. and the Jasper Economic Development Commission. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing from St. Mary’s University in Winona, Minnesota and his MBA from Illinois Benedictine University.

He and his wife Didi, who live in Jasper, have three children.

In other action by the Foundation board Jason Kelley was appointed treasurer, replacing Mitch Clark.

Dubois County Community Foundation is governed by a board of 13 community volunteers who set policy oversee strategic planning and responsibly steward over $38 million in assets.
