Norma C. Truelove, 81, Jasper

Norma C. Truelove, 81, of Jasper, died Tuesday (January 23) at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. She was born in Huntingburg June 5, 1936, to Anselim and Emma (Reckelhoff) Heitz. She married Jackie D. Truelove June 30, 1962, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Huntingburg.

Norma retired from the Dubois County Rural Electric Cooperative after 40 years of service. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, her cats, watching birds, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Jackie D. Truelove; one daughter, Lynn Judy and husband Randy, Jasper; one son, Michael Truelove and wife Lena, Huntingburg; four granddaughters, Natasha Edmondson, Dana Judy, and Verna and Jessica Dillon; and three great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Xavier, and Cora Mae Edmonson; and one sister, Mary Lou Blessinger, Huntingburg.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Sally Heitz, and one brother, Robert Heitz.

Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Thursday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Church or to a favorite charity. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Church with burial following in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Huntingburg.
