Kleinhelter Files Candidacy For Dubois County Sheriff

Jasper (NNDC) – Current Dubois County Detective Sergeant Tom J. Kleinhelter has filed his candidacy for Dubois County Sheriff on the republican ticket in the 2018 election.

In announcing his candidacy Kleinhelter said, “One thing I am most proud of is that I was able to attain every position available within the Sheriff’s office either through written tests, interviews, or a combination of both. I was able to be a jail officer, chief jailer, depty sheriff, patrol sergeant and, finally, detective sergeant which is the highest ranking officer that is not elected or appointed by the sheriff.”

Kleinhelter, a lifelong resident of Dubois County, continued, “I truly believe this is the greatest place on earth to raise a family. I will not accept the status quo, I will strive every day to make it even better.”

Kleinhelter and his wife Angie, who have been married for 25 years, have two adult children, Taylor and Reece. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and is a licensed baseball and basketball official for the Indiana High School Athletic Association.
