Sandra S. Sendelweck, 71, Huntingburg

Sandra S. Sendelweck, 71, of Huntingburg, died Tuesday (January 16) at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. She was born in New York City October 14, 1946, to Orval Jr. and Ida (Barasoin) Roach. She married Robert L. Sendelweck June 27, 1964, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville.

Sandra retired from 3M Corporation in Indianapolis after 18 years of service. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and attended Living Christ Lutheran Church in Plainfield. She enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, cooking, and babysitting her grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Sendelweck; three daughters, Shelly Schmitt and husband Myron and Angela Pfister and husband Dr. Greg, all of Ireland, and Cheryl Lampert and husband Doug, Jasper; seven grandchildren, Erica Verkamp, Tyler Lampert, Natalie and Nathan Schmitt, Cameron, Nolan, and Jayden Pfister; one great-grandchild, Blakely Verkamp; three sisters, Joan Kalb, Ireland, Christina Heshelman and husband Kenny, Loogootee, and Lori Letterman, Tennessee; and five brothers, Steven Roach and wife Debbie, Huntingburg, Danny Roach, Alfordsville, Michael Roach and wife Connie, Arkansas, Mark Roach and wife Martha, Loogootee, and Brad Roach and wife Dawn, Bicknell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orval Jr. and Ida Roach.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Church or to a favorite charity. Online condolences may be shared at Funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Church with burial following in the church cemetery.
