Rosina M. Friedman, 92, Jasper

Rosina M. Friedman, 92, of Jasper, died Tuesday (January 16) Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Jasper October 24, 1925, to John and Ida (Brinkman) Obermeier.

Rosina worked for Huntingburg Wood Products for several years. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed needlework.

She is survived by one daugthter, Pauline “Penny” Wood, Huntingburg; two sons, sons, Jerome “Jerry” Staats and wife Sandy, Sanford, Florida, and Kenneth Friedman and wife Pansy, Dale; 2 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren; and one sister, Alberta Obermeier, Jasper.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Friedman, one daughter, Karen Friedman, who died in infancy, one sister, Esther Seng, and two brothers, Jerome and Albert Obermeier.

Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. Funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with burial following in Fairview Cemetery.
